“There is a family with two sons at Lincoln High School, and they started off the year doing online learning by joining classes through Zoom. Their grandma had some health issues, and their mom had to go stay with her in Kentucky for a while, so she left her sons in the care of her boyfriend. He works second shift, so he wasn’t able to make it to the school for the Gleaners Food Pantry or for the weekly school meal pickup. The boys desperately needed food, so I delivered their school meals along with food from the Gleaners Food Pantry to them for the time that their mom was gone.”
