The bare necessities...
"John" (1st grade), "Adam" (kindergarten), and their little sister were just beginning their regular day when they abruptly found themselves relocated and living with an extended family member. They only had the clothes on their backs and snow was in the forecast. With our network behind us, CIS Wayne County was able to send out one call which was repeated to co-workers, friends, and family. Within hours people were responding with donations and gifts to help this newly formed family get their feet back on the ground. John, Adam, and their sister had people working for them to keep their lives as consistent as possible and make certain they had the bare necessities. Without that support, they would likely not succeed in school.
