Each year Test Middle School hosts a canned food drive from Thanksgiving until the first week of December. This year the Kiwanis Builder Club assisted with this event. The event was deemed a success with numerous cans donated food and gift cards, all given to Test families. Twenty boxes of food was donated to the Richmond Food Pantry.
One particular Test family was really struggling with an ill single parent. We donated food to them and gift cards to buy presents. The parent was too ill to drive, but arranged for family member to do the Christmas shopping. After delivering the items the parent hugged us and with tears in her eyes told us we had made her children’s Christmas with the Test giving spirit.
