In early December, the mother of a student contacted the school asking for help for Christmas. She had recently lost her job and her husband had not been able to find steady employment. She was becoming depressed and did not know how she would be able to provide a festive meal and gifts for her family. She was hesitant when told that we could help, but finally agreed to accept assistance. A few days later she came to the school to pick up the big box of food and the bags of gifts. She was overwhelmed. She hugged Tammy tight and said “Thank you so much. The school is a blessing to us. You have helped to make this a holiday we can be thankful for.”
