School Partnerships: Western Wayne Lincoln High School

Several weeks ago “Cole”, a mentored student, found himself in a predicament. He and his band were scheduled to perform at a local music event, but his band mates were unable to attend.  He quickly called “Aaron”, his mentor, to see if he could possibly fill in.  Aaron invited another friend to play with them. Although the three had never played together, they performed an impromptu set and had a great time doing it. The audience’s one complaint was that they didn’t play long enough! The experience brought Cole and Aaron closer and they now share a memory that will last a lifetime.
