School Partnerships: Richmond Fairview Elementary

CIS Site Coordinator, Jackie Limburg had been working with a 2nd  grade student with some behavior issues. “Chris” had a difficult time staying on task and frequently had to move his behavior pin. Jackie talked to Chris often about making better choices in class and also during specials. She even attended gym class with him to model good behavior and met with him during home room to discuss the rewards of making good choices. Chris was very willing to talk and was well aware of the areas in which he needed to improve. When she learned that Chris had received a certificate for modeling good behavior in music class it was music to Jackie’s ears! She quickly took advantage of the opportunity to congratulate him and praise his behavior.
